Irrfan khan has been a crowd favorite because of his acting prowess and steady rise without any help from the Industry. But in March 2018, he shocked his fans by revealing that he was suffering from Neuroendocrine Cancer. The actor is undergoing treatment in the U.S. and is still under-recovery. This evergreen Bollywood beauty was a yesteryear favorite of everyone. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 54. She fought the disease for 11 years and did not give up until she was finally cancer-free.
Anurag Basu – Blood Cancer:
Anurag Basu has given many hits like Barfi, Life In A Metro, etc. In 2004, he was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (a type of blood cancer). His doctors gave him only two months to live but that did not shake his spirit and he recovered soon after.
Tahira Kashyap – Breast Cancer:
Tahira Kashyap is a film-maker and wife of actor Ayyushman Khurana. In September 2018, she underwent a mastectomy after doctors discovered high-grade malignant cells in her breast. Two months later she revealed that her cancer has advanced to stage 1. She is currently under chemotherapy and she encourages women to get screened for breast cancer after they turn 30. Her posts reflect her indomitable spirit and zest for life.
