Digestive diseases can be acute, lasting for a short time, or chronic and long-lasting. Digestive system breaks nutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals & water) small enough for our body to absorb and use for energy, growth & cell repair. Like all other bodily functions aging also affect on digestive tract and in some cases, it can be fatal.
