As humans, we are anxious about the future, distracted by the present, or unsettled due to past circumstances. Our mind, therefore, is unsettled, restless, whimsical, and uncontrollable.

This state of mind is the Monkey Mind.

In search of calm and peace, we tend to reject the Monkey Mind which is almost impossible to attain.

What one needs to do is to befriend the Monkey Mind.
