Yoga Trainer Vimal Pandey talks about what kind of food is advised and what kind of food to avoid in old age. According to Ayurveda, as we age the “Vaath” pravirti in the human body increases, and problems related to vaath increase resulting in joint pain, body pain, etc.

The food you should take:

Oil: Mustard Oil, Coconut Oil, and Sesame Oil should be used, as well as you use these oils to massage your body.

Pulses: Kultih Daal, Moog Daal, Urad Daal

Fruits: Grapes, Mango, Pomegranate, and apple

Spices: Ginger (Adrak), Fenugreek Seeds (Methi), carom seeds (Ajwain), Coriander Seeds (Dhaniya)

The food you should avoid:

Chana Daal, Masoor Daal, Meat, and any cold fruits like – pears, oranges, bananas, persimmons, watermelons, and kiwi fruits
